Ourika valley

The Ourika valley is located in the heart of the Atlas. It’s one of the most beautiful valleys in the kingdom, rich in history, culture, arts and crafts, cuisine and lush landscapes. The valley spreads from the foothills of the high Atlas olive grove to the village of Siti Fata. After crossing a first olive grove – the road sinks into the mountains following the Ourika Oued. The brown village roofs will merge with the clayey surroundings. the steeply sided valley will take us to Siti Fatma. 1500 meters high; this is a very picturesque village surrounded by walnut trees and weeping willows. You’ll be able to mountain climb through walnut and cherry trees.

The Kik Plateau

The Kik Plateau opens the doors to the precarious conditions in this part of Morocco.

Villages around the plateau of Kik are devoid of all industries and comforts. Despite this, life seems very peaceful. Culture and fertile land are the only resources. Donkeys and mules are the most faithful friends. They are also the most reliable means of transport.

With a little luck, you can live moments of great Berber traditions. The traditional Berber dance is an exceptional experience of pleasure. Sharing, with the locals, a glass of mint tea is also a unique instant.

Asni

Asni, one of the towns of the High Atlas, offers a peaceful element to your Moroccan holiday. A small town, just 45 minutes south of Marrakech, Asni has grown up at a crossroads on the edge of the High Atlas, and is a good point from which to access walks on the Kik plateau, well known for a carpet of Alpine spring flowers. It has a souk on Saturdays. As the first point of call from Marrakech, it is often busy with tourists and the hassle that goes with them. It is best known for Sir Richard Branson’s nearby luxury hotel Kasbah Tamadot.
