Connected between the Anti-Atlas and the High Atlas, south of Mount Toubkal, jbel Sirwa is a high and vast volcano culminating at 3 305 meters. This ancient stratovolcano, structure made of accumulation of lava flows, is a very ancient formation. These various seismological variations offer us desolate contrasts of black lava which remind us the austere and lunar landscapes of the Sagho chain, ending near the great Tafilalet’s palm grove with the last buttresses of the Jbel Ougnat. Although its high altitude has a few snowfalls, its precipitation remains low, with an annual average of 400 mm, concentrated mainly on its summits. Travelers wishing to discover a often forgotten south of Morocco, away from the mass tourism properly framed, will find themselves there widely during the discoveries that they will make within this Berber people often nomadic, living of their flocks, ovine barley, durum wheat and fruit trees for the most sedentary. People which has kept a tradition of life punctuated by the seasons, respect for the environment and the host. A rich and authentic life in wonderful landscapes where the welcome of the visitor is always synonymous with warm sharing, rich in mutual recognition.
